Virginia Close is a writer and poet of Filipino descent living in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. Trained in Communication Foundation for Asia and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation before graduating from university. Then, worked as a freelance scriptwriter. In her early 20s, she moved to Australia to join her family. She spent the next years raising two loving children and traveling the world. It was in her fifties when she took the time to rediscover her first love – Creative Writing with a particular interest in mystery, drama, love, relationships, and discovering oneself. Virginia’s writings also bring the insightful perspective of a migrant in Australia. As what she believes, it is never too late to follow your dream. Passion has no barrier and definitely has no age limit.

    In line with this, we would like to invite you for a literary conversation/lecture on November onwards at your most convenient time. It will last 25-30 mins PPT slide presentation or how you present your lecture. There will be a Q and A after the lecture with Kultura Executive Director Allan Camba. This will be done in Zoom livestream in FB Live.
